The Decline of Human Connection
This has been something I have wanted to write about for a long time because it is something that I feel may be the most important issue of mankind.
Human Connection is on a very big decline, Marriage rates have dropped 60% since 1970, and people don't seem to interact like they used to.
In fact in the last two decades Face to Face social interaction has declined 30% in Adults and 45% in teens.
The average person will spend 12 YEARS on their phone in isolation, and a large percent of that is mindless scrolling.
Social Media and Porn is Killing the minds of people of all ages. They are designed to make you think that other people's life's are better than yours and set unrealistic expectations on what a romantic partner should be like.
Women are being told that they deserve extravagant things and are better off on their own, men are being told that they need to be perfect to get a woman to like them too.
Woman are told wanting to stay home and raise a family is misogynistic and men are being held up to suck expectations that many just decide they would rather be on their own.
Now you have millions of people scrolling social media and porn sites until they are depressed.
The Adult entertainment industry reached $287.8B in 2023 and is on track to hit $706B by 2034.
This is something that's been on my mind much lately as I've been and many of my friends and family have been affected by it.
Unfortunately I don't think it is going away so the best thing we can do is be aware and make others aware too.
